“Relations between Serbia and NATO are extremely delicate because of the legacy of the past, that is, because of the bombing of NATO of the then Yugoslavia. I regret to remind you that NATO intervention was not authorized by the UN Security Council, which for us unambiguously represents an act of aggression against a sovereign country, which caused huge casualties and material losses. We cannot forget those events and we will always remember those who died”, – said Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.
The Foreign Minister recalled that this year in Serbia celebrated the 20th anniversary of the NATO bombing. According to him, despite the different views on those events, all participants are responsible and are obliged to do everything to maintain peace in the region through cooperation.
