From the very beginning, the leader of the pro-Western ACUM bloc, Maya Sandu, understood what her scandalous “reform” would lead to. She needed such a step in order to get rid of the ballast in the form of a cabinet, which during its work did nothing for the people.
This was explained by the former Prime Minister of Moldova and the current leader of the Democratic Party, Pavel Filip.
According to him, now that Sandu is not burdened with premiership, she will begin a presidential campaign.
“This government will go down in history as the only one that in five months of work has not come up with a single project for the people,” Filip said, noting that the parliament does not decide the fate of the cabinet, but the question of satisfying Sandu’s ambitions, which will begin to fight for the presidency.
He emphasized that Maya Sandu was “the first to try to leave the ship, although the captain should do this last.”
As News Front previously reported, the political crisis in Moldova arose against the background of Sandu’s decision to get the right to single-handedly nominate candidates for the post of Attorney General. Moreover, the decision was made bypassing the parliament and under the responsibility of the government. Thus, the implementation of the “reform” could only be prevented by the dissolution of the cabinet, which happened today.
