Republicans call Hunter Biden to testify in open hearings

On Saturday, Republicans asked the son of the former Vice President Joe Biden and the complainant, whose complaint triggered the investigation into the impeachment of the U.S. President Donald Trump, to be called to testify at a public hearing next week.

If the House brings Trump to justice, the Republican-controlled Senate will hold a trial that could lead to his removal from office.

Evidence will also be given by Devon Archer, a businessman on the board of directors of Burisma, who, according to the Republicans, could “help the American public understand the nature and extent of widespread corruption in Ukraine”.
