The jihadists operating in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor swore allegiance to the new leader of the Islamic State terrorist organization.
After the leader of the Islamic State Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was liquidated in the north of Idlib, he was replaced by Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Kurashi, who is now sworn in by the Islamists.
Al-Kurashi is the successor to al-Baghdadi and one of the few surviving leaders of a terrorist organization. According to reports, in recent years 43 of the most influential IS militants have been eliminated, as well as about a hundred second-level terrorists. Al-Baghdadi self-blew up in the tunnel during the pursuit as part of a special operation of the US Armed Forces.
