Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud held talks in Riyadh on Thursday with CIA director Gina Haspel in the presence of Khaled Ali’s general intelligence director, Saudi News Agency Saudi Arabia.
According to the agency, they discussed a number of topics of mutual interest.
A meeting with the head of the CIA took place a few days later, as the Yemeni government and the separatists operating in the south signed a peace agreement in the Saudi capital to end the military confrontation, which lasted several months. The international community praised the conclusion of this agreement.
On Wednesday, the State Department said the United States welcomed the agreement reached the previous day between the parties to the conflict in Yemen, and considered it a necessary compromise to resolve problems in the country.
