In the UK, a man was detained after finding 15 people in a truck

Wiltshire County law enforcement authorities detained a man on suspicion of assisting in illegal entry into the country in connection with the discovery of 15 people in a truck, police said.

Law enforcement, after receiving a report of “suspicious activity involving a truck” on the highway, arrived at the scene and found 15 people “in the back of the vehicle”. According to preliminary information, ” they are all over 16 years old”. After a medical examination, one of them was hospitalized.
“In addition, one man, aged in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of assisting with illegal entry into the country and taken for further questioning to a police station in Swindon”, –  police said in a statement.

The incident occurred amid an investigation into the mass deaths of migrants found in a truck in Britain. Essex County Police on October 23 found 39 dead in a vehicle that arrived in the country from Belgium. A week later, police reported that all the dead migrants were Vietnamese.

Vietnamese police detained a total of 10 people as part of an investigation in Essex. In Britain, five people were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder, including a truck driver – 25-year-old Maurice  Robinson from Northern Ireland. Later, three detainees were released on bail. The trial in the Robinson case will begin on November 25.

According to the Essex Police Department, 40-year-old Ronan Hughes and his brother, 34-year-old Christopher, are wanted on suspicion of unintentional murder and illegal transportation of people. Both of those wanted are from the Northern Irish county of Armagh, but can live both in Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland.
