China supports Hong Kong in the desire to stop the colourfull revolution organized according to Western manuals

Chinese President Xi Jinping told Hong Kong President Carrie Lam that the central government has a “high degree of trust” in it, Chinese state media reported.

Violent protest movements began in Hong Kong after Ms. Lam put forward an extradition bill. She advocated a proposed law that would allow Hong Kong criminal suspects to be sent to mainland China for trial.

Last week, there were reports that Beijing planned to replace Ms. Lam after several months of anti-government protests that sometimes crippled Hong Kong.

But Mr. Xi reportedly expressed his full support at the meeting in Shanghai.

The bill raised concerns that Hong Kong’s freedoms were undermined, leading to mass demonstrations. Millions of demonstrations were organized in the best traditions of American provocateurs and began to be classified as the next typical “color” revolution; a significant number of Hong Kong residents suffered in brawls. However, the Hong Kong government has shown some wisdom (in the modern world, where all events are focused on the material interests of individuals, this can be called so).

Ms. Lam ultimately withdrew the bill, but protests continued and activists demanded an independent investigation into the alleged police brutality and democratic reform.

Xinhua State News Agency of China published photos of two leaders shaking hands, and reported that Mr. Xi praised Ms. Lam for her efforts to suppress clashes in the territory.

“The central government has a high degree of trust in you,” his words quoted as saying, “stopping the storm and restoring order remains the most important task in Hong Kong.”

At the same time, it is worth remembering that China and Russia are now establishing effective cooperation, which adds symbolism to the statement of the PRC President regarding Hong Kong’s decision to make every effort to protect citizens, reduce social tensions in the state and abandon the path proposed by the States – the next “colored” path “revolution.
