Clashes are also recorded in the south of the region, where a large-scale counter-terrorist operation of the Syrian Arab army unfolded in early autumn. So, units of government troops attacked the militants’ fortifications near the city of Kafar Sijnah, which is located northwest of Khan Shaykhun.
At the same time, according to SANA, CAA is gaining ground in Hasaka province. Now, roadblocks are being established along the highway that runs through Kamyshly and Tell Tamer. The decision is explained by the need to ensure the safety of civilians who live in the confrontation zone between Kurdish and pro-Turkish armed groups.
