The demining process began at the site of troop withdrawal in the area of the settlement of Zolotoe-4 of the Luhansk region, said the Head of the Press center of the operation of the United Forces (OOS) of Ukraine Andrey Ageev.
On Tuesday a mirror-based separation of forces began in Zolotoy-4 in the Donbas. According to the Ukrainian military, the withdrawal became possible due to the observance of the silence regime during the last week, representatives of the OSCE SMM confirmed this.
“According to the official report of the OSCE, as part of the breeding, demining of territories has begun from today. At present, five sapper crews from the civil service for emergency situations that are part of the environmental protection team are working on the site”, – the UNN agency quotes Ageev as saying.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that on November 4, Ukrainian security forces and militias should begin a withdrawal of forces on a site in the Petrovsky district in the Donbass.
In April 2014, the Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR, which declared independence after the coup in Ukraine in February 2014. According to the latest UN data, about 13 thousand people became victims of the conflict. The issue of resolving the situation in the Donbass is being discussed, including during the meetings of the contact group in Minsk, which, since September 2014, has already adopted three documents regulating steps to de-escalate the conflict. However, even after armistice agreements between the parties of the conflict were signed, skirmishes continue.
