In the town of Giannitsa in the Pella region in the north of the country last night, three dozen local residents gathered to block the road with two tourist buses, on which authorities brought from 100 to 150 migrants and refugees for accommodation in a local hotel. At first, buses left the area, but returned after police had secured travel to the hotel. Subsequently, residents went to the police station to file a complaint.

In the Serre district, a group of people staged a rally at a collection point on the Egnatia motorway to protest the movement of refugees and migrants in Serre. After the protesters left, a bus with refugees and migrants drove to a hotel in the Sidirokastro area.

On Saturday night, the mayor of the island of Kos Theodosis Nikitaras, together with city hall officials and local residents, came to the port to prevent the disembarkation of 60 migrants who were taken by ferry from the island of Kastelorizo. Municipal equipment also arrived at the port. The day before, 50 migrants were transported to Kos. Now there are already 4,500 of them on the island.
