A bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the purpose of which is to delay the translation of schools with the Russian language of instruction into Ukrainian.
The author of the initiative was the deputy from the “Servant of the People” faction Maxim Buzhansky.
According to him, the fact that Russian-language schools must switch to “mov” before the rest is discrimination. That is what he explained his decision to introduce a bill that eliminates such a norm.
As News Front reported, a former scholarship holder of the Soros Foundation, Maidan, and now Minister of Education and Science Anna Novosad promised to begin the process of translating Russian-language schools into the Ukrainian language of instruction starting September next year. At the same time, schools where instruction takes place in the languages of the European Union had to switch to “mov” only in September 2023.
Earlier in the presidential party, Novosad’s plans were already criticized as initiatives that run counter to Vladimir Zelensky’s “conciliatory” policies.
