In Yemen, the Houthis claimed the downing of an American drone

The ruling Ansar Allah (Houthi) rebels in Northern Yemen said on Friday they had shot down a US-made drone on the border with the southwestern Saudi province of Asir.

“The downed drone of the Sky Eagle model carried out an intelligence mission”, – said Houthi spokesman General Yahya Saria  on his Twitter page.

In Yemen, hostilities continue between forces on the side of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, supported by the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia, and Hussite rebels. In response to the attacks of Saudi aviation on the positions of the Houthi in Yemen, they are firing on the border areas of the kingdom. In September, the Houthi claimed responsibility for striking oil facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia, with the result that the kingdom temporarily lost almost half of its oil production.
