The future participation of the Russian Federation in the G7 club depends on its respect for the territorial integrity of other countries.
The US House of Representatives Foreign Relations Committee unanimously adopted a resolution against Russia’s return to the informal club of seven of the world’s most economically developed countries, G7. This was announced by one of the authors of the document, a member of the Democratic Party, Albio Sires on his website.
“Resolution No. 546, introduced by Congressman Albio Sires, condemning Russia’s invitation to future G7 summits, until it respects the territorial integrity of its neighbors and follows the standards of democratic societies, was unanimously adopted by the Committee on foreign affairs of the House of Representatives”, – the report said.

Resolutions of the House of Representatives and the Senate, which are adopted separately in each House of Congress, are not legally binding and are advisory in nature. Thus, legislators express their position on a particular issue, and the executive branch has the right to ignore such documents.
