US President’s Special Adviser on European and Russian Affairs Tim Morrison will soon leave his post, according to National Public Radio, citing a senior official of the US presidential administration.
It is assumed that he will be replaced by Andrew Peak, who is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran at the Middle East Affairs Bureau.
Morrison is due to testify on House Commissions Thursday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into impeachment of US President Donald Trump.
Earlier, US Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor testified that Morrison is one of those people who told lawyers of the National Security Council about their concerns after Trump’s call to President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
