In pursuit of the seat of Chisinau mayor, Năstase leads to the collapse of the Parliamentary coalition

One of the leaders of the pro-Western “ACUM” bloc, Andrei Nastase, regularly attacks his allies in the Parliamentary coalition in his campaign, which jeopardizes its very existence.

This statement was made by the President of Moldova Igor Dodon.

The head of the republic assured that he did not intend to interfere in the election race, because the “debriefing” will take place at the end of the election process. At the same time, he said that in connection with the destructive approach of the representatives of the pro-Western bloc, with individuals, the dialogue will definitely be terminated.

Dodon recalled that the socialists and ACUM have signed an agreement governing the policy of “non-aggression”, since criticism can undermine confidence in the parliamentary majority. Nestase is not at all embarrassed by this fact.

“The primary problem for the existence of the coalition is behavior. Upon completion of local elections, restrictions will be set in this regard. Now I do not want to do this, since we are in the pre-election period, but after the election the discussion will be tough. With certain personalities, we will not sit at one table anymore, I can say for sure”, – said Dodon.

As News Front reported earlier, according to the results of the first round, by choosing the Chisinau general mayor, Andrei Nastase received 31.09% of the vote, losing the lead to the socialist Ion Ceban, who was supported by 40.16% of the capital’s inhabitants.
