President Pinera: “With deep pain, I decided not to host the Apec Summit, as well as COP25”.
On Wednesday morning, at a press conference in the Monastery Palace, President Sebastian Pinhera announced a decision to suspend the APEC summit, which will be held in our country on November 16 and 17, and will also suspend COP-25.
Thus, the president said that “in the light of the circumstances and given that our main priority is absolute concentration on restoring public order, the safety of citizens and the social world”, in addition to the social agenda promoted by the government and dialogue throughout the whole country to reach an agreement “with deep pain I decided not to hold the APEC summit and the COP-25 summit.”
