Four migrants died, one went missing trying to get to the Canary Islands by boat, Spanish media reported citing a representative of the Spanish government in the autonomous community, Juan Salvador Leon.
The migrants whose boat capsized are currently on Board the Singapore-flagged vessel. 29 people were rescued. The ship is headed to the port of La Luz (Palmas de Gran Canaria).
Earlier, the emergency coordination center reported that 158 migrants reached the Canaries early in the morning on two ships.
