Tripartite consultations on gas started in Brussels

Tripartite consultations of Russia, Ukraine and the European Commission on gas transit after 2019 began in Brussels, the Ministry of Energy reported on Twitter.

Before that, EC Vice President Marosh Shefchovich held separate meetings with the delegations of Ukraine and Russia, headed by Energy Ministers Alexei Orzhel and Alexander Novak.

Heads of Naftogaz and Gazprom Andrey Kobolev and Alexey Miller also participate in the negotiations.

Before the start of consultations, Novak told reporters that Russia expects progress in understanding the fate of transit and gas supplies to Ukraine.
