LPR declars Kiev lack of desire for dialogue on prisoner exchange

The head of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, accused Kiev of not wanting to conduct a dialogue on the issue of persons held in connection with the conflict in Donbass.

Earlier, the head of the political council of the Ukrainian party, Opposition Platform – ‘For life’, Viktor Medvedchuk, said he had turned to the leaders of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR with a request for the release of several prisoners.

At the end of June, at the airport in Minsk, four Ukrainians, unilaterally released, were transferred to Kiev on the same day, accompanied by Medvedchuk, they arrived by plane to Ukraine. The last exchange of prisoners between Kiev and the Donbass took place at the end of December 2017. The parties to the conflict stated that the process of release by detainees will continue.
