The head of the administration of the Turkish district of Sancaktepe, Sheima Doguju, was attacked in London by demonstrators protesting against the actions of the Turkish authorities in Syria, the mayor said in a statement.
According to the statement, Doguju arrived in London for a meeting of the International Union of Municipalities. In the British capital, she witnessed a protest rally, which claimed Turkey killed children and innocent people using chemical weapons.
“We could not remain silent before lies, slander and insults, and we did not say anything! “ You are lying”, – I shouted. They attacked us with flagpoles and fists.
