Cuba recognizes the leading role of Russia in the world and condemns the sanctions against it, said Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez at a meeting with St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov.
“We have a huge coincidence of views on the multilateral agenda and on the main issues that the world is facing today. Cuba recognizes the leading role that Russia plays today in the world in resolving various kinds of conflicts. And Cuba vigorously condemns Russia’s sanctions and threats from the US and other governments”, – said the Cuban president.
The Cuban president flew to St. Petersburg on October 27, he had already visited the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery, where more than half a million residents and defenders of the besieged Leningrad were buried, laid flowers at the foot of the Mother Motherland monument, as well as the legendary cruiser Aurora.
