The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a heated discussion with representatives of nationalists during his working trip to the troop-withdrawal area near the village of Zolotoye in the Donbass.
The Ukrainian President said that he “doesn’t care who the ceasefire is signed with”, since Kiev needs to “return the territory and prevent the killing”.
Nationalists urged Zelensky to assess “all risks of withdrawal” of forces in the Donbass. In their opinion, this is surrender.
After the conversation turned to actions against the separation of forces, Zelensky sharply reacted to the proposal to fix on paper the agreements that suit the nationalists.
“I am the President of this country, I am 41 years old, I’m not some kind of a goof, I came to you and told you to take away your weapons. Don’t you change the topic to actions. I wanted to see understanding in your eyes, but everything I saw was a guy who decided that some burdock was standing in front of him”, – TASS quotes Zelensky as saying.
After such a heated discussion, Zelensky left, accompanied by advisers.
Earlier it became known that Zelensky was in the area of troop withdrawal in the Donbass for the second day.
