UN statement censored: Facebook removes monitoring mission page

Even attempts by the United Nations to uphold human rights in Ukraine have been severely censored when it comes to the ‘famous’ site ‘Peacemaker’.

The administration of the social network “Facebook” without hesitation deleted the official page of the UN Monitoring Mission for Human Rights in Ukraine when a publication appeared that was objectionable to certain forces.

Recall that on October 16, representatives of the UN called on the Ukrainian leadership to close the Peacemaker website, which openly violates human rights. Naturally, the relevant statements were transferred by the organization’s press service to social networks. This publication did not censor on Facebook. Now the UN mission page has been deleted.

It is worth noting that the social network “Facebook” for a long time and unscrupulously struggling with publications that are considered objectionable. So the administration blocked the account of the State Duma deputy from Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya when she published a post dedicated to the deceased head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko.
