The UN accused the Kiev punishers of violating the silence regime in Donbass

The Ukrainian occupation forces are responsible for the shelling in the territory of Donbass, as well as civilian casualties.

This is evidenced by the data published in the report of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

According to international observers, only from May to August this year, 56 civilians suffered as a result of hostilities in Donbass. 33 of them are residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic, 13 – of the Lugansk People’s Republic.

Moreover, the total number of victims in Donbass during the reporting period amounted to 68 people: 35 men, 24 women, 3 boys and 6 girls. This indicator, as noted by the UN, is 51.1% more than in the previous reporting period.

The total number of deaths during the Ukrainian punitive operation in Donbass as of August 15 was 3339 people.

As News Front previously reported, the Ukrainian side torpedoed the process of demilitarizing the military contact line in Donbass, which was one of the key conditions for holding the summit in the Norman format and the peace process as a whole. Kiev, however, insists that it will withdraw troops only after 7 days of observing the regime of silence. However, it is the APU and violate it.
