Tehran is ready to promote dialogue and mutual understanding between Turkey and Syria, Iranian foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said.
“Iran has always been a supporter of dialogue and peaceful approaches to resolving contradictions and for this reason has always advocated negotiations between parties that have contradictions in order to reach an understanding”, – Mousavi said.
He noted that the Adana agreement, concluded between Turkey and Syria more than 20 years ago, is a suitable basis for Ankara and Damascus to address existing concerns.
“Iran will not fail to provide any assistance to dialogue and building mutual understanding between Ankara and Damascus”, – the Iranian foreign Ministry spokesman added.
