Assad accused Erdogan of seizing Syrian land

The Turkish president has already stolen oil and wheat from Syria, and also exported factories from Aleppo, Assad said.

Turkey intends to seize Northern Syria, says President Bashar al-Assad. According to Sana news Agency, he said this on Tuesday, October 22, during a visit to Syrian troops in Idlib province.

“The Turkish President stole Syria’s oil and wheat, and took factories out of Aleppo, and now Erdogan wants to steal some of the Syrian land with its natural resources”, –  Assad said.

He stressed that for Syria “every piece of its land is equally important, therefore the development of the military situation is of paramount importance”.

“We have said and continue to say that the battle in Idlib is crucial and will put an end to anarchy and terrorism in all areas of Syria”, –  Assad said, addressing the troops.

On the eve of Erdogan said that since the beginning of the operation “Source of Peace” the Turkish army has taken control of 111 settlements in Syria.

Earlier, he argued that Turkey did not intend to seize Syrian territories, but intended to establish a safe zone in the region to accommodate millions of Syrian refugees.
