A tenth-generation Briton, Marcus Godwyn, in an exclusive interview with News Front’s English editorial, spoke about what is really happening in the UK after the referendum on leaving the European Union took place. Marcus also revealed the reason why the ‘deal’ process is still frozen, despite such a serious stir around this issue:
“Brexit didn’t need to happen. There was absolutely no constitution or legal or any other political need to have this referendum. We, the British people, have always been skeptical about the European Union, basically. I remember when I was a school kid and my parents arguing about it, when there was the referendum to join or not. They were arguing quite strongly, and my Dad voted for and my Mom – against.
This current of skeptisism about Europe and the EU has always been in many British people especially English, because the English are the most numerous and supposedly the richest compared to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. So there are various reasons why.
For example, the republic of Ireland became independent from Brtain in 1922. Since joining the EU in 1973 at the same time as The UK and Denmark they have had huge funding from the European Union and the Irish standard of living rose considerably so the Irish people liked the European Union while the English tend not to seeing themselves as a paying in, not receiving country. In later years Ireland has seen the downsides of EU membership and I suspect that they are becoming more skeptical too.
I think David Cameron arrogantly believed that he could kill this kind of background noise “Maybe we should leave”, “Maybe we should leave” and some of the politicians supporting it “So, let’s have a referendum, the people always vote to stay in European Union and that will finish the story as with Scotland”. They had a referendum. It worked for him in Scotland that time. I think if we have another one now it won’t work this time. Anyway, the European Union referendum didn’t work for him and that was the end of his political career. And it didn’t have to happen at all.
I think that the ruling elite didn’t and don’t want to leave. I have learned over the last 6 years actually the people running our country and most western countries have a totally different agenda in this world from that which they put forth for public consumption.
I don’t know what’s going to happen now. I can’t say that we’re going to bomb out on 31 of October or not. The elites don’t want this to happen, that’s not a part of their plan. Their plan is to have less and less power for independent states in Europe in the Western world, but they want to create independent states out of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union and split Russia up into smaller states controlled by them. They are looking to do the same with China, hence there support and organization of the Hong Kong protests and in Muslim areas in western China and Tibet of course. This can be contrasted with the same elites’ ruthless crackdowns on The yellow Vest movement in France and Catalan independence protests in Spain.
