London and the EU agree on a new Brexit deal

Negotiators from the European Union and the UK have reached a compromise on Brexit, the Head of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, wrote on Twitter. However, details are not given yet.

“When there is a will, there is an agreement – and we have it! This is a fair and balanced agreement for the EU and the United Kingdom <…>. I recommend the summit to accept this deal”, – the Head of the Eurogroup says.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed this information and called on Parliament to support the document.

“We have reached an excellent new agreement <…>. Now Parliament must provide Brexit on Saturday so that we can tackle other priority issues such as cost of living, the National Health Service, crime and the environment”, – he commented on Twitter.

Great Britain is due to leave the EU on October 31. On Saturday, the country’s parliament is expected to vote on a new agreement. The main stumbling block was the issue of the Irish border.

The summit of the heads of state of the European Union began on Thursday, where Brexit should be the key topic of the discussion.
