Iranian foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on all Gulf States to participate in Iran’s security initiative in the region.
“I thank Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan for his efforts to achieve peace in the Persian Gulf by repeating the Hormuz Peace Initiative”, – Zarif wrote on his Twitter page.
“I again invite colleagues in the leadership of other countries in the region to join Iran in developing the concept of peace, security, stability and prosperity”, – he added.
In September, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, during a speech at the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, launched the Hormuz Peace Initiative, inviting countries affected by the events in the Persian Gulf to the Coalition of Hope to ensure the safety of water routes.
