The American leadership continues to evacuate its military from Syria and has already agreed to entrust the Russian Federation with the city of Manbij in the North of Aleppo province, where the Syrian Arab army units previously went in connection with the offensive of the Turkish army.
According to the “Newsweek”, referring to its own sources in the Pentagon, the decision was made by mutual agreement between Washington and Moscow. So, after the withdrawal of American troops, Manbij will come under Russian control.
A senior official from the US Department of Defense, whose name is not known, told reporters that 24 hours were given to evacuate American forces from Manbij . “Simply put, this is a transfer”, – he explained, adding that the Americans were given the task of exporting equipment and eliminating equipment that cannot be taken out.
As News Front previously reported, the Washington-led international coalition is also evacuating the military from Syria to Iraq amid Turkey’s Armed Forces operation, Source of Peace.
