Kurdish armed gangs operating in Syria launched a counterattack on Turkish troops in the northeastern part of the Arab Republic.
This was reported by Al-Hadath.
According to media reports, the Kurds managed to oust the Turkish Armed Forces from the city of Ras al-Ain in Hasakah province. Previously, the settlement was taken under the control of the Turkish military as part of the operation “Source of Peace”.
Now on the outskirts of the city, clashes between Kurds and pro-Turkish groups continue. In addition, the Kurds are attacking the neighboring village of Tel Halaf, which is southwest of Ras al-Ayn. Also, battles unfolded near the border town of Ain al-Arab in the province of Aleppo.
As News Front previously reported, against the backdrop of the Turkish military operation Source of Peace, Washington began to urgently withdraw the US armed forces from Syria. Moreover, the United States agreed to transfer under the control of Russia the city of Manbij in the north of Aleppo province, where units of the Syrian Arab army had previously entered.
