One person died, three were injured in clashes between protesters and law enforcement in the Guinean capital Conakry, where residents protest against the third term of Guinean President Alpha Conde, according to local Guinee Matin.
According to the publication, clashes between protesters and security forces began on Monday morning. In particular, clashes began on the Sinfonia-Wanindra highway, where two people were injured.
It is also reported that not far from Sinfoniya station, one person received serious bullet wounds and the other died.
Residents of the Guinean capital took to the streets in protest against the intention of the country’s president to amend the constitution, which would allow him to remain in office for another term. The protests paralyzed the work of shops, schools and government agencies.
