The US ambassador to the EU will testify against Trump in Congress

He previously denied that the United States and Ukraine had an agreement to investigate Biden’s case.

The US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland will testify to Congress that President Donald Trump asked him to deny the agreement with Ukraine, The Washington Post reported citing anonymous sources.

According to the newspaper, Sondland will testify next week. Allegedly, Sondland did not know if there was an agreement with Ukraine regarding the investigation of the Biden case in exchange for arms supplies.

Democrates in Cogress want to start the impeachment procedure against Trump, because they believe that he abused his power and the US influence in the international arena in order to defeat his opponent in the upcoming presidential election of Joe Biden. He allegedly asked President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate the activities of his son Joe Biden on the board of directors of one of the Ukrainian companies.

Prior to this, supporters of the current administration considered Sondland’s denial to be one of the arguments that there was no agreement between Trump and Zelensky.
