Roderich Kiesewetter, member of the German Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee in the Federation Council on Tuesday, presented Germany’s position on the situation in Ukraine and expressed hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
“We hope that Russia and Ukraine will find a peaceful way to restore the situation in Ukraine,” Kizevetter told reporters.
The representative of the Bundestag on Tuesday discussed the situation in Ukraine with the first deputy head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council Sergei Kislyak.
“It was useful to learn about the Russian assessment of the development of the situation in Ukraine, as well as arms control. I presented the position of Germany, we also exchanged views and found common ground,” Kizevetter explained.
