On Monday evening, the truck drove into cars standing at the traffic lights, at least 17 people were injured.
According to media reports, the alleged suspect arrived to Germany from Syria, he is 30 years old. The investigation was undertaken by the prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt am Main.
As it turned out, the man stole a car and deliberately directed it into the standing cars. In addition, it is reported that eyewitnesses heard him say “Allah” several times in a speech.
Seven victims continue to remain in the hospital. The condition of one person is assessed as critical. The suspect himself received minor injuries.
