More than 1.2 thousand refugees from Lebanon and Jordan returned to Syria in a day

Over 1.2 thousand people returned to Syria from Lebanon and Jordan over the past day, according to the newsletter of the Russian center for reconciliation of warring parties and monitoring the movement of refugees, published on the website of the Ministry of Defense.

“Over the past day, 1,241 refugees returned to Syria from foreign countries, including 416 people from Lebanon through the Jaydet-Yabus, Tell-Kalah checkpoints (125 women, 213 children), and from Jordan via “Nasib” checkpoint – 825 people (248 women, 421 children)”, – the bulletin says.

It is added that 11 Syrian citizens returned to their places of permanent residence per day.

It is noted that five residential buildings, a hospital and an electrical substation were restored per day. In addition, the engineering units of the Syrian Armed Forces cleared two hectares of territory, and also discovered and destroyed 35 explosive objects.
