China announced dates of a new round of trade negotiations with USA

Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China said the next round of trade talks with the United States will be held on October 10 and 11.

“From October 10 to 11 Chinese Vice Premier Liu He will hold a new round of trade and economic consultations with Finance Minister Steven Mnuchin, the representative of the United States at the trade talks, Robert Lighthizer”, –  the agency said.
It is noted that the Chinese delegation will also include Minister of Commerce of China Zhong Shan, head of the People’s Bank of China Yi Gang, deputy head of the State Committee for Development and Reform, head of the State Statistical Office of the People’s Republic of China Ning Jizhe, as well as representatives of other departments in the rank of deputy ministers.

Earlier, the Ministry of Commerce of China reported that negotiators from China and the United States on September 19-20 in Washington held consultations at the level of deputy ministers, “a constructive discussion of trade and economic issues of common interest” took place.

In turn, the American leader Donald Trump said that he is seeking a comprehensive trade deal with China, and not agreements on specific areas, writes RT.
