The American media compared the number of tanks in Russia and NATO

Russia has the largest fleet of armored combat vehicles in the world, the number of tanks in which exceeds their total number among NATO member countries, writes the American publication We Are The Mighty with reference to the Global Firepower website.

In the arsenal of Moscow, as stated in the publication, about 22 thousand tanks, while the European states that are members of NATO, this figure is a little more than 11 thousand. Together with the USA and Canada, the number of tanks reaches 18 thousand. Among the NATO countries, Turkey has the largest number of such combat vehicles (3.2 thousand units).

Earlier, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Joseph Dunford said that in recent years, NATO has lost military superiority over Russia. According to the general, the defense ministers of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance recognize that Russia is a competitor in the military sphere, and the advantages of NATO over it have come to naught.
The well-known military expert Igor Korotchenko, commenting on the words of Danford, noted that such a recognition proves that the money invested in the military sphere was not wasted.
