Environmental activists Extinction Rebellion blocked the central area of Amsterdam.
On Monday morning, hundreds of protesters demanding more vigorous action to combat climate change gathered in front of the Rijksmuseum Art Museum.
The rally takes place despite the ban by the city hall, which invited the protesters to gather in a park area adjacent to the museum.
Special vans arrived at the scene of the riots. Law enforcement officers using loudspeakers convince the audience to leave the street and go to a place designated for protest by the city authorities.
