The recent counter-terrorist operation of the Syrian Arab army turned into a rout of terrorists who settled in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Now the militants are hastily gathering forces, distributing them at the front, where an offensive of government troops is expected.
This was reported by Al Masdar news agency, citing its own military sources.
According to reports, about 13 thousand militants of the “Islamic Party of Turkestan”* terrorist group have already been deployed to Idlib. Reinforcements are located in northeast Latakia and in the Sahl al-Gab valley of the Hama province.
In addition to manpower, two hundred unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as an impressive amount of ammunition, including missiles and artillery shells, were delivered to the Idlib de-escalation zone.
There is also information that the leaders of the “Islamic Party of Turkestan” and the largest Idlib gang, Khayyat Tahrir al-Sham* met to agree on a strategy to protect the territories that remained under the control of the militants. They expect a widespread onset of CAA in the coming week. This is because Damascus intends to secure the east of Latakia province.
