The mobile application Smart-ID, used by the largest Latvian banks, does not work due to a technical malfunction, a spokeswoman for SK ID Solution company’s admin, Sanita Meyere, told reporters.
“The application does not work. Specialists are working on troubleshooting,” – said Meyere.
Residents of Latvia who use the application cannot connect to banks, pay bills via the Internet. Most of the Latvian banks from Monday, September 9, stopped using code cards to access the Internet bank.
Smartphone users are encouraged to use the Smart-ID, Google Authenticator, Mobilescan applications, and customers who do not have smartphones can purchase a code calculator.
