Rosneft, following the words of the US Special Representative for Venezuela Elliot Abrams about possible sanctions against the Russian company, says that oil supplies are under old contracts, and attempts to limit Rosneft in the return of already invested funds will constitute an expropriation of these investments by the States.
Rosneft reserves the right to defense in national and international instances, but at the same time it is ready to conduct a dialogue with the US authorities to clarify the position.
Washington admits the possibility of imposing sanctions against Rosneft due to the growing trade in Venezuelan oil, Abrams said on Tuesday.
