Relations between Russia and China are entering a new stage of development, including in the defense sphere,- the head of the Russian military department Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting with the deputy chairman of the Central Military Council of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Yusya.
The Minister recalled that this year Moscow and Beijing celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and emphasized that “Сhina is Russia`s key strategic partner in the world arena». Shoigu emphasized that the maturity and thoroughness of the Russian- Chinese tandem is expressed in close friendly relations between the heads of states and he added that five meetings have already taken place this year.
According to Shoigu, Moscow and Beijing regularly conduct joint exercises, as well as the two countries cooperate on military lines successfully.
