Moldova’s President Igor Dodon said that he went on a two-day working visit to Brussels to discuss the cooperation with the leaders of the EU, European Commission, NATO and the Belgian Senate.
“I’m going on a two-day working visit to Brussels, where I will meet with the leadership of the EU, NATO and the Belgian Senate. Lots of questions questions regarding the implementation of reforms in our country, the development of trade and economic cooperation with European partners, energy issues, regional security, etc. will be raised, ” – Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.
According to the president`s announcement, he intends to discuss the bilateral and multilateral relations with European Parliament President David Sassoli, EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Khan, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Chairman of the European Parliament’s External Commission liaison by David McCallister and Belgian Senate Chair Sabine Laruelle.
The previous visit of the President of Moldova to the capital of Belgium took place in February 2017.
