Boris Johnson loses majority in the House of Commons

MP of the House of Commons of the Parliament of Great Britain Phillip Lee decided to leave the Conservative Party and defects to liberal Democrats. He wrote about this on September 3 on his Twitter.

After the departure of Deputy Lee, the British Prime Minister and Conservative leader Boris Johnson loses majority in parliament.

Johnson`s government is trying to get Britain out of the European Union at all costs – even through the tough Brexit.

This uncompromising desire of Johnson and his government is a reason of Deputy Lee departure from the Conservative Party. He writes that tough Brexit will undermine the economy, democracy and the role of the United Kingdom in the world.

Johnson managed to suspend the parliament on October 14: the deputies left summer vacation on September 3, but they will be forced to stop working in a week. Actually, this should increase Johnson’s chances to withdraw Great Britain from the EU on October 31.
