A fresco depicting Alexander Zakharchenko appeared in the street art park of Italian Turin on the anniversary of the death of the first Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic. This was reported today in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.
The memorial is framed in the colors of the Italian flag. On the same day, in the city of Potenza in southern Italy, hundreds of posters with the words “Against terrorism. The immortal hero Zakharchenko”.
Alexander Zakharchenko is the first Head of the DPR, one of the leaders of the protest movement in the Donbass in 2014. He took part in the armed conflict, commanded the Oplot militia unit, and was repeatedly wounded. In August 2014, he was confirmed as chairman of the Council of Ministers, on November 2 he won the election of the Head of the Republic. On August 31, 2018, he was mortally wounded in an explosion in Donetsk.
