The militants of the Taliban terrorist group have launched an attack on the northern Afghan city of Kunduz. This was reported by Xinhua News Agency with a reference to a representative of local authorities.
According to reports, the Taliban faced serious resistance from government forces, the attack was repelled, and the terrorists were forced to retreat, having lost at least fifteen militants in battle. At least two servicemen were killed in the confrontation .
It is worth noting that the incident unfolded against the backdrop of negotiations between the terrorist group and Washington. The bilateral agreement will allow the United States to withdraw its armed forces from Afghanistan in exchange for security guarantees from the Taliban.
