An explosion occured at a chemical plant in the Indian state of Maharashtra. 

Eight people died and at least 22 people are injured. According to preliminary reports, at least 70 people are locked inside.

The cause of the accident could be an explosion of cylinders. Police officers, doctors and the disaster management are conducting a rescue operation.
