Taliban one step away from expelling US from Afghanistan

Negotiations between representatives of Washington and the delegation of the Taliban * continue in the Qatari capital.

The group notes that the parties are close to concluding an agreement that will allow the United States to withdraw its armed forces from Afghanistan in exchange for security guarantees from the Taliban.

“We hope that soon we will bring good news to our Muslim country aspiring to sovereignty,” the source said.

In addition, the media, citing sources in the Afghan government, noted that Washington and the terrorists had already reached an agreement under which US troops would be withdrawn from the country within a period of 14 months to two years. At the same time, the United States has not yet commented on the information, however, it became known from sources that an agreement will be reached after the conditions are announced to official Kabul. So, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad is already planning a visit to the Afghan capital.
