A transport aircraft with elements of the second division of the Russian S-400 air defense systems landed in Ankara. This is reported by Turkish television and the information was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the country.

As NTV reports, the plane landed at the Myurt airbase.

According to the military department, the supply will last about a month.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan сlaimed that the choice of Ankara S-400 pursues purely commercial interests.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the systems acquired by Turkey will not be integrated into a single missile defense system of the alliance.

On July 25, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation confirmed the completion of the first stage of the supply of Russian air defense systems to the Turkish side.
